Heather’s love for the Adirondacks started when she was a college student at St. Lawrence University.
And since then, she and her husband have spent the past 30 years vacationing in the Adirondacks. Several times each year, they’d drive North to ski Whiteface, hike local trails, and camp — always with their 3 young children in tow. At the early onset of COVID in 2020, they decided it finally made sense to move to the Adirondack Coast, and have since made Essex, NY, their home. The transition was a smooth one for all involved, especially their herd of Alpacas who had never seen such expansive green pastures.
Heather grew up in Duxbury, MA, surrounded by family and friends all thriving in the real estate business. Closings, Inspections, and pre-approvals were common household terms, and countless times she was encouraged to join them. The ideal opportunity to finally get licensed presented itself here in the Adirondacks, and today is thrilled to be a member of the Berkshire Hathaway real estate team based in Keene Valley.
Heather was quick to adapt to small Adirondack town living and is now fully immersed in a variety of non-profits and activities. She was instrumental in bringing some new life to the Essex Theatre Company this past year by producing their first annual Talent Show as well as joining their board of directors. Essex Initiatives, a local nonprofit, cast her as the Essex Witch and as Mrs. Claus for various holiday events; all newsworthy performances now memorialized on local social media sites.
You can spot Heather at The Grange’s Thursday night Jam sessions, strumming her Ukulele or Banjo, or telling a dramatic story for Whitcomb’s SpeakEasy Open Mike night. During the summer months, when she‘s not sailing her tiny sailboat around Lake Champlain, she’s entertaining tourists with her Alpacas, whose pasture is a short walk from the Essex Ferry dock.
Her driven, passionate personality and love for the Adirondacks make a career in real estate a logical next step. She developed leadership skills as an executive in the corporate marketing world and spent decades as a lacrosse coach, emphasizing the importance of teamwork. Heather considers Real Estate a team sport and is over the moon happy to join the Berkshire Hathaway team—the “best in class“ team of brokers/agents in the Adirondacks!
